Sevenhills Wholefoods Organic Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea Powder

Updated: Jan 30, 2021

One Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder that we regularly use to make our tea is the Organic Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea Powder by Sevenhills Wholefoods.

This powder is available from Amazon in different sizes (50g, 100g, 200g). As we enjoy Matcha everyday, we always purchase the 200g version. If you buy the 200g bag, you save some money, as the price per 100g drops.

With approximately 200 ratings on Amazon and a 4.5 (out of 5) star rating on Amazon, it is one of the more popular Matcha tea powders available on Amazon. What we like is that it can be ordered via subscribe & save, so that we save 15% when we order it regularly.

There are some interesting facts about this Matcha powder, which we would like to point out below:

It won the Great Taste Award in 2017

It comes from Japan

It is 100% pure with nothing added

It is certified organic by the Soil Association in the UK

It is GMO free

It has been tested for heavy metals, mycotoxins, microbials, alfatoxins, etc.

It has been widely recommended int he media, as for example in the BBC Good Food Magazine

We have contacted the manufacturer and have received a Certificate of Conformity, which confirms the tests that are regularly carried out to ensure the quality of the product. We have a good feeling when we use Matcha powder from Sevenhills. Sevenhills Wholefoods also produce various other "superfoods", most of which are organically sourced.

This is one of the lowest-priced Ceremonial grade Matcha tea powders available on the market. We feel that the quality still is very good. However, we must also say that there are some high-end Matcha powders, which can be twice or three times more expensive than Sevenhills Wholefoods´ powder, and which also taste slightly better if enjoyed pure. However, if you enjoy your Matcha on a daily basis, and if you fancy a Ceremonial grade Matcha and might add some milk or milk alternative (we use oat drink), then this one is highly recommended!
